Camp NaNoWriMo: Day 10

With my goal being a total of 20,000 words, I’m over 25% done, hitting 6756 words as of last night. I’ve been moving along at a good speed and I’m on pace to finish on time.

As I said in an earlier post, I’m using Camp NaNoWriMo to put a dent in my draft, which started at approximately 25,684 words before April 1st and should hopefully be close to 50,000 once I’m done.

I’ve found that keeping track of my words on a daily basis really motivates me to write. I always want to see if I can beat what I did the day before, and keep my average high. I know that my writing is going to need so heavy editing once the month is over, but I’m forcing myself not to edit as I go (like I normally do) and just put out everything that comes to mind. I’ll worry about cleaning up in May.

I set my cabin to assigned randomly, but if you’d like to connect with me, visit my profile here.I’m always looking to connect with more indie writers!
