It’s that time of year again! Yippee! I absolutely love Camp NaNoWriMo almost as much as I love the original NaNoWriMo. I love NaNoWriMo for the social aspect – all of my local writers coming out of the woodwork to sit in a cafe and socialize and write and joke around with; but I love Camp NaNoWriMo for the customize-able word count goal.
I’ve never made it to 50,000 words in a month (though I try!) so for this camp session my goal is 30,000 words (about what I did the last two times) for an average of 1000 words per day. I KNOW this will be a challenge for me with final exams coming up, but I want to at least make the effort.
So, what will I be writing? I’m starting something completely new for this session. Back in November, I finished the first draft of my novel which is now undergoing the dreaded editing process. I’m also getting query letters ready. This has been a load of work, so I decided to take some time off and get started on a new novel within a planned trilogy.
Wish me luck! You can visit my Camp NaNoWriMo profile here if you want to join in on the fun. 🙂
