Camp NaNoWriMo April 2016 – Day 10

camp-nano

Word cannot express how much I love NaNoWriMo (both original and summer camp editions). I love watching the word count rise, getting together with fellow writers and most of all, remember why I love what I do so much!

On April 1st, I set a modest goal of 30,000 words. I ended NaNoWriMo 2015 with approximately 30,900 words so I knew it could be done. Yesterday, I changed my goal 40,000. That would be the most I’ve ever written in a month in the history of me and great prep for when NaNoWriMo comes around in November.

On Day 10, I’m sitting at 14,800 words, with an average of 1484 words per day. I hit the first 10,000 in less than a week. Put simply, I’m so excited to be writing this book. I’ve been plotting this book for a while and I’m so glad that I took a break from editing to bring this story into the world.

Best of luck to all my writer friends who are working on a project this April! If you want to connect, please visit my camper profile here!
